Mundo do rock lamenta morte de Vinnie Paul, baterista do Pantera

A morte de Vinnie Paul, baterista e cofundador do Pantera, foi confirmada no início da madrugada deste sábado (23). Um agente do músico, que tinha 54 anos, confirmou a informação para a Billboard e acrescentou que não há mais detalhes disponíveis no momento.
A partir da publicação de um post pelo Pantera em seu perfil no Facebook, diversos amigos e artistas ligados ao universo da música passaram a lamentar a perda.
Dave Mustaine, líder do Megadeth, Geezer Butler, baixista do Black Sabbath, e Paul Stanley, guitarrista e vocalista do Kiss, foram os primeiros a se manifestar.
“Outro herói do metal que vai cedo demais. Diga olá para Daryl por mim”, escreveu Mustaine citando o irmão de Vinnie, Dimebag Darrell, baleado e morto no palco durante um show da banda Damageplan em Columbus, Ohio, em dezembro de 2004.
“Chocado e entristecido ao saber da morte de Vinnie Paul”, disse Geezer Butler em um tuíte no qual lembrou de bons momentos com o amigo numa turnê que fez ao lado do Pantera.
Paul Stanley também fez questão de relembrar a experiência na estrada com o baterista do Pantera e enviou seus sentimentos à família.
Já Sebastian Bach, publicou um vídeo emocionante agradecendo os momentos com Vinnie, a música que ele nos deixou e não se conteve, caiu em lágrimas.
